*********************************************************************************** * !! A major reorganizational change to the PIRSF GO slim files is coming !! * * * * The GO flat file format used for these files will soon be replaced by * * the OBO format file to synchronize with the format used by the Gene * * Ontology Consortium. The GOslim.PIRSF.obo file will replace the following: * * * * GOslim.PIRSF.component PIRSF GO slims for cellular component (GO flat file) * * GOslim.PIRSF.process PIRSF GO slims for biological process (GO flat file) * * GOslim.PIRSF.function PIRSF GO slims for molecular function (GO flat file) * *********************************************************************************** NOTE: The PIRSF GO slims changed on 05-Oct-2009 to reflect changes made to GO. There are additional terms, deletions, reorganization, and renaming. The following files represent the GO slims used to annotate the iProClass protein database and the families of the PIRSF protein classification system. The GO slims were selected to cover a broad range of proteins encoded by a broad range of organisms while still providing for a suitable specificity of annotation. Because of the latter two characteristics, the PIRSF GO slims are more numerous than other GO slim sets. GOslim.PIRSF.obo GO slims for molecular function, biological process and cellular component. This is a self-contained OBO format file, meaning that it will properly load into an OBO file editor. GOslim.PIRSF.names.tb Map of PIRSF GO slims IDs to terms. GO2slim.PIRSF.tb Map of GO IDs to PIRSF GO slims. There are: 179 cellular component slims 217 biological process slims 81 molecular function slims
